Add any of these to your Short-term Medical Plan
Telemedicine
For just a few dollars a month, you can add Telemedicine benefits that let you see a doctor from wherever you are. Teladoc™ lets you call or video conference with a board-certified doctor who can help resolve your health issues and even send a prescription to your local pharmacy, if needed.* Telemedicine includes even more ways to care for you and your family with these supplemental benefits:
- Best Health helps you make healthy lifestyle choices regarding exercise and diet through online recipes and nutrition and fitness videos.
- Innovative Medical Risk Management, Inc. advocates on your behalf in the event of large out-of-pocket expenses associated with high-deductible health plans, out-of-network charges or expensive prescription drugs.
Metal Gap 2
With a medical plan such as short-term medical, you could still be responsible for deductible and coinsurance expenses in the case of a serious accident or illness. With Metal Gap 2 coverage, you’ll receive benefits for covered events such as:
- Accident medical expenses
- Accidental death and dismemberment
- Critical illness
- Inpatient and outpatient surgery
These benefits allow you to focus on getting better instead of worrying about medical bills. Metal Gap 2 provides you with the financial protection you need while recovering—and your acceptance is guaranteed.
Rx Pay Card
This national prescription drug card program offers valuable discounts on prescription drugs like penicillin, naproxen, Premarin and many others. Plus, you’ll have access to more than 55,000 pharmacies across the country. ** Acceptance into the program is automatic—there’s no underwriting or health questions.
Telemedicine, Metal Gap 2 and Rx Pay Card are offered by The IHC Group. Metal Gap 2 is underwritten by Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York (SSL). Telemedicine and Rx Pay Card are NOT insurance products. The IHC Group and SSL are independent companies that do not provide, offer or sell BCBSAZ products or services and are solely responsible for the products and services they provide.
